Luis joined Broderick Legal Group as an Associate Attorney in 2019. He specializes in counseling clients with their estate planning needs, specifically assisting clients choose the appropriate tools necessary to protect their family and their assets after their death. In addition, he assists clients with protecting their rights as heirs and as beneficiaries. 
 

Luis graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 2000 with a B.A. in History and Spanish. In 2003, he obtained a Juris Doctorate from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. After graduation, he returned to Modesto to teach Spanish, Debate, and AP U.S. History at Modesto Christian High School for a few years. 
 

Prior to joining Broderick Legal Group, Luis practiced Business Litigation, Bankruptcy, General Civil Ligation, Estate Planning, and Trust and Probate Litigation.

Luis is active in the community and has served as board member of several local nonprofits, including Modesto Youth Soccer Association and Latino Business Association. Luis has volunteered with El Concilio where he taught Citizenship Classes and presented mini-seminars on such topics as business formations, bankruptcy, and estate planning. 

 

As a husband and a father of four children, Luis understands the need to protect one’s spouse and children in case of serious illness or untimely death. He is most passionate about assisting individuals like himself prepare their estate plan and set the affairs in order for greater peace of mind. Luis takes the time necessary to explain to his clients the difference between a will and a trust and how powers of attorneys and health care directives benefit couples and individuals alike. 

In his spare time Luis enjoys hiking and camping with his family. Luis is also an appreciator of good food, especially when it comes to wedding cake.
