Jessica Filbrun

Jessica is an Associate Attorney with the Broderick Legal Group, handling estate planning and civil litigation cases. She also works as Chief Operations Officer for a local non-profit community development corporation, Stanislaus Equity Partners.  

 

A Modesto native, Ms. Filbrun holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, specializing in Commercial Law, and has practiced business law for over ten (10) years.  Ms. Filbrun served as In-House Counsel for a multi-million-dollar, multi-sector solar company, Kurios Energy, from 2014 to 2020, and is experienced in contract negotiations, writing, and review, insurance and employment law counsel, and high-level administration and strategic planning.

 

Prior to her work as In-House Counsel, Jessica worked at a boutique firm in Tracy, California, where she practiced business law formation, corporate counseling, probate litigation, and estate planning. Jessica is passionate about investing in her community, and has volunteered for Strive2Free (Sacramento-based human trafficking organization), Modesto’s Without Permission, and Modesto’s Youth for Christ.  She has served as a Board Member of the Without Permission (2015-2018) and Kurios Energy’s Board of Advisors (2015-2017).  She currently serves on the City of Modesto, District 1, Community Advisory Committee for Rosa Escutia-Braaton, Rolling F Credit Union, one of three local CDFI certified financial institutions, and the San Joaquin Valley Housing Collaborative (SJVHC).
 

In her free time, Jessica enjoys running and triathlon, reading classic literature, playing the piano, and spending time with her two children, Mia and Cameron.
